We want to make this site a place where families can surf together and where parents are happy to have their children interact, learn and play.  Talk to your children about the sites they visit and make surfing a family activity especially with young children.  There are software programs that allow parents to block certain websites from kids.  You may want to find out more about them. What is Personal Information?
Bradybrady.com gathers different kinds of information from its visitors. We consider "Personal Information" to mean any information, recorded in any form, about an identified individual or an individual whose identity may be inferred or determined from such information, other than business contact information (e.g. name, title, business address). 

Personal information for ordering from the site
When customers make purchases on Bradybrady.com, we require them to provide us with their full name, billing and shipping address, email address and credit card number/expiration date.  We use this information to process the customer's order and to send confirmations via email.   We do not sell or share any of this information with any third parties except those that assist us in the processing of the order. When you make a request to have the author or illustrator visit your school, we ask you to provide personal information as well as information about your class so that we can contact you and provide further information about the visit. 

Fan Feedback
Bradybrady.com gives you the chance to tell other kids and parents how you feel about the site, and Brady Brady books in the Fan Feedback section of the site.  To be able to do this, you must enter your Name and email address.  We use your email address to contact you in case you have any concerns.  In the Fan Feedback section, we ask for your permission to post your comments on our website.  You can leave us your first name only if you wish.  If you allow us to post your comments on our website in the Fan Feedback, we will identify your comment only by your name, city and province or state.  

Email
If you send us an email message we will record your email address so that we can respond.  We will only use your email address for the purpose for which it was provided.  In the Contact Us section we ask you if you want to be included in our mailing list.  If you agree, we may add your name to a list to send you newsletters, book release notifications or other cool Bradybrady.com emails.  Your name can always be removed from these mailing lists by following the simple steps outlined at the bottom of such newsletters and emails.  Unless we have your permission, we will not share your email address with others or add you to any mailing lists. 

Personal information for contests
From time to time, we will hold a contest for kids at Bradybrady.com.  On the online entry form, we ask for personal information such as name, address and email.  We use this personal information for the purpose of awarding contest prizes, tracking compliance with the official rules and regulations and for feedback purposes.  We will only use a winner's name and photograph after receiving prior written consent from the winner and the appropriate release forms are completed by a parent/guardian and returned to us.  

Information gathered by the site automatically
Bradybrady.com may make a record of your visit for statistical and business purposes.  This record includes your server address, domain name, IP address, the date and time of your visit, pages accessed, and documents downloaded.  This information is anonymous, non-personal and in its aggregate form allows us to make the site better meet user needs. Bradybrady.com does not use cookies. A cookie is information that a website puts on your computer's hard drive so that the site can remember your preferences or which pages you visited. 

When Bradybrady.com May Disclose Your Personal Information
Bradybrady.com believes that your personal information belongs to you and should not be shared. We collect this information when you provide it to us, but we do not rent or sell it to third parties. We note that a few of our services will require your Personal Information. If you choose not provide us with this information, we may not be able to offer you the services requested. We will not charge you for verifying or correcting your information, however, there may be a minimal charge imposed if you need a copy of records.

Third Party Sites
We have no control over the content of third party Web sites that individuals may access through hyperlinks at our Web sites.  We encourage everyone to read the privacy policy of every Web site they visit.

KIDS - BE  SAFE!
The Internet is a great place to hang out, to find out stuff, and to share comments and ideas with people who are into the same kind of stuff you are.  But the net isn't always a safe place so we've put together some tips for you to follow while you're surfing the net. 

Be Safe! Never give out your name, your address or phone number, your parent's names, and the name of your school, your teacher or your friends. If you see something on the internet that makes you uncomfortable - whether it's on the web or it's sent to you - tell your mom or dad, or an adult you can talk to, and get them to deal with it. Never agree to meet anyone you have "met" online.

Never send your picture over the Internet without checking with your parents or another adult. Don't answer mean messages, or rude ones, or messages asking for personal information. If you do get a message like that - tell your parents right away, so they can help you deal with it. Make sure you obey the rules that your parents have set out for you. Make up a cool nickname for when you join a chat or a game online - Never use your real name. Never tell anyone your real name or your password. Get your parents to read the Parent's tips on this site, and don't forget to make sure they say its ok before you send us any information.
