Comments: I am a teacher at a K to 8 school in Cambridge. Our primary students were lucky enough to have a visit from Mr. Temple in January of this year! It is now almost April and the kids are STILL talking about "Chucktemple". The visit was great! The primary students sat quietly (and interested!) through the entire presentation, asked some questions at the end and then took advantage of the opportunity to purchase their own books and even get them signed. These signed "treasures" are often brought to school and shared with their friends! The fact that they are still excited months later is proof of how great the books are. So good, in fact, that they are even asking me to read them to them in French! We are all looking forward to another visit in the fall when Mr. Temple will have some new books to share! I am an assistant coach for 2 teams, 7 and 9 year olds. I have tried to make a rink in my back yard, but its not a good year, its too warm. My son Brady, who is 9, also received the Brady, Brady books for Christmas from his grandmother. Our Brady loves hockey, and played on a very successful team called the Icedogs. However, the connection that really cinched it for his grandmother (and of course him) was that everyone calls him "Brady,Brady". My son has ADHD and is never paying attention. I wish you could have seen the look on his face the first time I read this book to him, and the fact that Chester was discovered in the Zamboni Garage. This is a must for any child that likes hockey, he now pretends to read it back and it has to be read every night. His two older brothers are involved in hockey and he can hardly wait to get started. Comments: Hi! I have two boys one named Matthew he is 5 and Dhillon who is two. They both love The Great Rink and The Runaway Goalie. My husband and I enjoy reading the books to them very much. We even used the "Great Rink" as an example and made a great rink of our own. At one year old our son Dhillon was already hitting a puck with a hockey stick. Comments: Dear Mr.Temple, I just read my son both Brady Brady books, and he absolutely loved them both. The character Brady is soooo descriptive of my son that when I read the stories the second time to him I used his name Curtis Curtis. He thought this was an absolute gas! He is only four years old but loves hockey. I would really love to see you do more of these books, as my son likes them so much. I see you have two more coming out in the spring. Are they about hockey??? I hopeyou continue to keep with the hockey theme for Brady Brady. I am sure these books will be extremely popular. I would also like to add, I like the fact that there is an underlying message to the stories, which I find very important when discusing the stories afterwards.
